Citizen Engagement Meeting for Aundh-Baner-Balewadi area held on 20th January 2018
Novel designs of four upcoming placemaking projects presented before citizens
Citizen Engagement Meeting of Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) was held in Aundh ward office on 20th January 2018. Citizens of Aundh-Baner-Balewadi were present during this meeting. Mr. Manojit Bose, Chief Knowledge Officer, PSCDCL addressed the meeting. Novel designs of four upcoming placemaking projects under Pune Smart city`s plan were presented in the meeting. The placemaking projects presented in this meeting were Community Farming with Senior Citizens Facility, Bookzania (based on idea of amusement park with spatial design to promote reading culture), Science Park for improving understanding of science through fun & play and Pet Park for domesticated animals. Designs of these placemaking projects are in final stage.
Issues about implementation of ongoing projects were also discussed in this meeting. Citizens expressed satisfaction about implementation of various ongoing projects.
Citizen engagement meetings are organized by PSCDCL on every first and third Saturday of every month to receive feedback and suggestions of citizens regarding ongoing and proposed projects of the Smart City. Common citizen engagement meeting for Aundh, Baner and Balewadi on first Saturday and separated decentralized meeting for each local area of Aundh, Baner and Balewadi is held on third Saturday.
