Engineers Should Acquire the Skills Required by
the Industry- Rajendra Jagtap, CEO, PSCDCL
Pune: “Besides being the seat of education, Pune is now also known as hub for Automobile, Information Technology, Sugar and many other industries. The City has been included in the Smart City Mission Scheme, which has resulted in large scale opportunities for the engineers, so that the engineers should acquire the skills required by the industry and take advantage of these opportunities,” advised Dr. Rajendra Jagtap, CEO of Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL).
Dr. Jagtap was speaking in his address to students on the occasion of convocation ceremony of the KJ Educational Institute which is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. Director of Central Water and Power Station Maruti Koodle, Ajit Tawde of Cadbury Chocolate, KJ’s president Kalyan Jadhav, Vinod Jadhav, Dr. Hemant Abhyankar, Dr. Vyasaraj Kakhandki, Suhas Khot, Haribhau Fathakar, Nilesh Uke were present.
Dr. Rajendra Jagtap said, “With technology, we focus on making ‘smart work’, but we cannot achieve success without having the hardwork connectivity. We must understand the basics. Today, even if the information is available on the internet, we must learn the technique to use it properly.”
Kalyan Jadhav said, “We should try our engineering education for the benefit of the common man. If we consider the creation of an industry through innovative ideas, then employment will be created, students should give priority to entrepreneurship. ”
Maruthi Kudale said, “With continuous learning, we should contribute in the journey of the developing country towards a developed one.”
