IAS Ms. Rubal Agarwal takes charge of CEO, Pune Smart City

 Pune: Rubal Agarwal, Additional Municipal Commissioner of PMC took over the charge of Chief Executive Officer of Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL). IDES Rajendra Jagtap held the charge of CEO on deputation since June 2017 till 14 November 2019.

Ms. Rubal Agarwal is presently holding position of Additional Municipal Commissioner at Pune Municipal Corporation & having additional charge Chief Executive Officer, Pune Smart City. She has been working in the State of Maharashtra since 2008 and has served across various cities of Maharashtra.

Chief Executive Officer in charge, Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited Rubal Agarwal said, “Pune Smart City projects get positive response from Aundh-Baner-Balewadi area. We look forward to citizens active participation and support to Smart City projects.”

Pune holds an important place for both Maharashtra and India and has ranked second in the Smart Cities competition organized by the Government of India. Free Pune Wi-Fi, Smart Placemaking, Smart Street Redesign, Smart City Operation Center and Smart Elements, Lighthouse and Citizens Engagement- these are a few of the successfully implemented projects of Pune Smart City. Pune Smart City is performing a pioneering role by being a mentor and trainer to other Smart Cities in the SPV to SPV Coaching Program initiated by the Govt. of India. Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh), Faridabad (Haryana), Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Tiruppur, Vellore, Erode (all from Tamil Nadu) and Varanasi have followed suite in replication of Pune Smart City model.
