Norwegian Consulate Visit to Smart City
Pune : A three-member delegation from the Norwegian Consulate General, Mumbai has visited Pune Smart City Ltd. today. The delegation was led by Mr. Arne Jan Flølo, Consul General.
Dr. Sanjay Kolte, IAS, CEO Smart City and his team gave the delegation a brief on the ongoing projects and the initiatives Smart City has undertaken, with ICT technology, infrastructure and placemaking projects. Benefits of the projects and the key outcomes achieved were presented. The delegation particularly showed keen interest in e-bus project, Mera Thela and Safetipin applications which are directly impacting the lives of the citizens. Mr. Arne Jan Flølo suggested that Norway has been one of the leading countries in the implementation of Electrical vehicles and extended invitation to collaborate in this regard. He emphasized that setting up of charging infrastructure and policy interventions is key to the success of such initiatives. The delegation further suggested that they are open to exchange ideas and share their experiences which will further help the city in enhancing the City initiatives.
The meeting ended with a resolve to increase collaboration between both the agencies.
