Pune Smart City Brings to You for the First Time ‘Pune Smart Week’

Pune: – Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited has planned an 11-day long activity, with predominant 7 days termed as ‘Pune SmART Week’ starting from 14th February to the 24th February of 2019. With the motto “Art for All”, the intent is to bring our citizens closer through the medium of art in all its various manifestations of visual treats and smart technology. The objective is to connect the citizens of Pune to strengthen social inclusion through public spaces and rekindle an energy connection through an array of programs.

Dr. Rajendra Jagtap, CEO, Pune Smart City said “We, at PSCDCL wish to connect with the common citizens at all levels, and not just at the infrastructural level. Pune Smart City Projects has been doing projects in innovative way till now and also has an impressive lineup of projects for the future of our wonderful city. We have undertaken several endeavors to go the extra step in achieving our long term goal of being a people-centric development initiative and rebuilding a city that is smart and sustainable.”

We wish to achieve this by planning and executing an array of programs, events, workshops, competitions and installations in the field of art & design, dance & music, films & theatre and other media. It’s our endeavor to transform the public venues, cultural centres and parks in the heart of the city, into creative places for everyone and anyone to come together and celebrate, for people across all age-groups, professional backgrounds and economic strata.

The various mediums explored in these 11 days are as follows.

  1. Visual Arts.
  2. Films and Theatre.
  3. Dance, music and performing art.
  4. Exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations.
  5. Talks.
  6. Literature and poetry.
  7. Children’s activities.
  8. Food and craft village.

These activities would happen from Jangli Maharaj Road, Bal Gandharva, Sambhaji Park, Ferguson college Road, Raja Ravi Varma Gallery and Ghole Road etc.
