Pune Smart City wins Best Smart City and Smart City SPV Awards
At the recently concluded Smart Cities Expo 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 22nd to 24th of May 2019, Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited was unanimously declared the winner in the Best Smart City Award Category. In the Smart City SPV Awards category, it was declared joint winner along with South Delhi Municipal Corporation. Several cities from different parts of the country had applied for these award categories.
The jury comprising of several senior leaders from the government and private sector acknowledged the all-round efforts of Pune Smart City in various areas including art, culture and the efforts being made through PIFF, its subsidiary, to push the pedal on data and technology led innovation in partnership with leading institutions within India and outside.
Mr. Manojit Bose, Chief Knowledge Officer of Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited received the awards from Shri. Parameswaram Iyer, Secretary (DWS), Government of India and the Chief Guest for the Awards ceremony.
