Pune Smart City’s Pilot Smart Mechanized Sweeping of Road Concludes Successfully
Pune: Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited has successfully concluded the pilot test project of Smart Mechanized Sweeping of Road.
The pilot project was concluded successfully at Baner road, in the presence of Executive Engineer of Vehicles Dept. Mr. Kishor Pol, senior executive from Challenger Sweepers Mr. Mirek Bycyznsky, Deputy Sanitary Inspector Mr. Bhoir, local representatives and citizens.
CEO, PSCDCL Dr. Rajendra Jagtap was quoted saying, “There have been a lot of positive changes in the road sweeping industry and Pune Smart City will lead the way in the mechanized sweeping category. To arrive at a benchmark standard of cleaning we are going to collaborate with various agencies and provide best carriageway cleaning with advanced handheld power tools. We are optimistic in the increase of the quality of cleaning once the staff is empowered with the use of current technologies.”
The process utilizes best in class components and leading edge technology that allows us to offer a street sweeper that is strong on performance and long on durability. Through the implementation of this pilot an effective and efficient way for street sweeping can be provided. Challenger is a North American Company that is associated with Pune Smart City and which provide the mechanized sweeper vehicle. STIHL is a Stuttgart based German manufacturer that provided handheld power equipments.
